This novel by Pochoda, author of "The Art of Disappearing," tells the story of two daredevil girls living in Brooklyn who take a boat out one summer night. Only one girl returns. "Visitation Street" shows how an entire neighborhood is affected by the tragedy. Nelson predicts the book will be generating a lot of buzz over the next few months. "It's as much a portrait of a neighborhood [as anything]," she says. "It has an old-fashioned, noir-ish mood."
