Miller, who is making her debut with this memoir, tells the story of growing up with a father who was a hoarder and the strain which the secret put on her life and her family. Nelson warns readers to be careful if they read this book in public. "You will be weeping on the subway," she says. Nelson notes that the book takes care to show every side of Miller's father. "You never lose sight of [the fact] that her father was a brilliant guy ... very engaged with his family," she says.
