Kolker, who is also the author of "Cinema of Loneliness" and a contributing editor at New York Magazine, tells the story of a series of unsolved Long Island murders in which multiple women were killed. Nelson says she was reminded of Sebastian Junger's "The Perfect Storm" in that Kolker also explores the effect the murders had on the community. "This is a really good piece of journalism," she says. "The author is really good at teasing out the details."
