If you don’t want your Internet browser to collect all of your search history, try HTTPS Everywhere. The project is a collaboration between the Tor Project (see next page) and the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
With HTTPS, the websites that you visit are visible – so it still shows how long you have visited Facebook, or Amazon.com – but what you are doing on the website is hidden – that means no one can see whose profile you're perusing, or what you bought on Amazon. This is done with the "S" part of HTTPS, which stands for Secure Socket Layer, which first makes sure a website is secure, and then jumbles up all of your browsing data from the site.
