Senning says that users should resist the temptation to do a status update about every minute of their day. "Avoid oversharing day-to-day events, such as your baby's fourth hiccup this morning, or overly personal information, such as how your bunion surgery went," he writes. And think twice, or even a few times, about what you're putting up on the website. "You can always delete something you decide you don't want on your wall, but you can't take back the impression it made while it was visible," Senning points out. "When you make a wall post, you have the option of selecting whether it appears on the news feed of your friends or not. Consider using this as a filter if you want to share a piece of news with a select group only."
