10 best books of January, according to Amazon's editors

Amazon editorial director Sara Nelson shares her thoughts about the Amazon staff picks for the 10 best books of January 2013. 

7. "Snow White Must Die," by Nele Neuhaus

Set in a small town outside of Frankfurt, Germany, this blockbuster thriller by German mystery writer Nele Neuhaus has already sold millions of copies in Europe. Nelson describes the book – which is the story of two detectives investigating a girl's disappearance – as very "small town Europe." She says the book is "a real police procedural" yet it also offers an interesting take on contemporary European life.
