Erin Berman and her web team from SJPL

Erin's team will talk about the process of transforming a broad, intimidating topic — like online privacy — into a learning opportunity that is personal, approachable, actionable, and reusable.

Their Virtual Privacy Lab has seven modules that cover a range of topics including an overview of online privacy to more complex topics such as data mining.

Erin's team will discuss the process and thinking behind this tool.

Dr. Gerald Friedland and Julia Bernd from ICSI's Teaching Privacy Project

The Teaching Privacy Project provides information about the various threats to online privacy and how Internet users can make better decisions about their online activity. The Teaching Privacy Project also provides educators with lesson plans and materials that they can use to bring privacy education to their classrooms.
