Streak snapped: June 22 when Castillo went 0-for-4 in a win over the Detroit Tigers. In his final at-bat, in the eighth inning, he was out on a close throw. The Marlins rallied for four runs in the ninth inning to win, but Castillo was in the on-deck circle as the game ended. 

Background: The switch-hitting Dominican owns the longest hitting streak by any Latin player and any second baseman.
