Brent Barry, the son of Hall of Famer Rick Barry, won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest during his rookie 1995-96 season with the Clippers. In Julius Erving fashion, he took off from the free throw line. Because his parents were divorced, Barry really didn’t learn the game from his dad. Brent moved on to other teams, and contributed to two championships won by the San Antonio Spurs in 2005 and 2007. That made Brent and Rick Barry only the second father and son to play on championship teams. Matt Goukas Sr. and Jr. were the first. Bill and Luke Walton became the third.
