What he’s doing: Barry reportedly is working to pull together a celebrity fishing and/or adventure show that will draw on his experience cohosting shows on the Outdoor Channel. Before that he enjoyed a long career in basketball broadcastsing, including most recently on Sirius Satellite Radio in San Francisco. Currently, he also is a diversified entrepreneur with stakes in a wealth-management firm (Personal Equity Institute), a technology company (N.S. Lachman & Company), and gold and coal mining business (Murphy Mining & Exploration) that is based in Colorado and South Africa. Barry lives in Colorado Springs, Colo. Two of his sons, Jon and Brent, have followed in their dad’s footsteps as NBA players turned broadcasters.
