HealthCare.gov makes it easy to download paper forms and instructions, which you can print out. The virtue of this approach: no need to worry about getting bogged down on the website. You just fill out your information and mail it in to an Obamacare administrative office in Kentucky.
But this option doesn’t let you see your coverage choices immediately and check the box for, say, a silver plan from Blue Cross. Instead, it starts the sign-up process. “We’ll follow up with you within 1-2 weeks,” regarding next steps in the process, the form says. “If you don’t hear from us, visit HealthCare.gov or call 1-800-318-2596.”
