6. The JOBS bill comes from the House. What happens when it gets to the Senate?

Senate majority leader Harry Reid has said he would move similar legislation in the Senate, meaning the JOBS Act does have a chance of crossing the legislative finish line. President Obama, too, is reportedly a fan, further improving the bill's likelihood of becoming law. Mr. Obama is "encouraged to see that there is common ground between his approach” and what House majority leader Eric Cantor, the JOBS Act’s main patron, outlined during a lunch meeting March 1 between the president and congressional leaders, White House spokeswoman Amy Brundage said in a statement.
