Yes. In the 435-seat House, the least popular of the three already-passed bills received only 17 nay votes. In a Congress marked by gridlock, that’s pretty remarkable. Most criticism of the bill is related to its small-bore approach. At a press briefing, House minority leader Nancy Pelosi called the bill the “path of least resistance,” saying that although “this little package is, I think, viewed positively, it is not any substitute for the jobs bill that we need.”
