Ohio Judge Michael Cicconetti also ordered a man and woman who vandalized an nativity scene to march through town with a donkey to apologize.
On Christmas Eve in 2003, Jessica Lange and Brian Patrick defaced a baby Jesus statue at a Catholic Church's outdoor nativity scene. Cicconetti sentenced the pair to 45 days in jail as well as drug and alcohol treatment, but first they had to lead a donkey through the streets carrying a sign that said, "Sorry for the jackass offense." They were also ordered to replace the statue.
