In Los Lunas, New Mexico Judge John "Buddy" Sanchez sent a 6-year-old boy to traffic school in 2009. The boy's mother received a traffic ticket for failing to buckle up her son. Explaining to Sanchez that the boy refused to buckle his seatbelt and repeatedly unbuckled it, she asked for help disciplining her son.
Sanchez asked a driver's education instructor to run a special seatbelt safety class just for mother and son.
