The fairy tale is coming to an end for Jermaine Jones. After beating out thousands of other contestants and leaving such an impression on the judges they chose to bring him back to the semifinals after booting him the week before, reports are that Jermaine Jones will be ousted by American Idol producers on Wednesday's show.
It would appear that the "gentle giant" is not so gentle after all. TMZ is reporting that American Idol has recently discovered that Jermaine Jones was arrested twice last year for providing a false name to police, with one incident involving violence. It's interesting to learn of Jermaine's alleged violence. One would have thought that if a person harbored any violent tendencies, being forced to perform a duet with this season's socially awkward cowboy, Richie Law certainly would have surfaced such behavior.
As is common in today's society, the plot thickened on Twitter when Jermaine posted a tweet on Tuesday night that read, "Awww I will no longer b on the show." The tweet was subsequently deleted as has Jermaine Jones's official American Idol Twitter account.

The disqualification of Idol contestants is not unheard of, in its eleven seasons American Idol has booted off four semifinalists, the most recent incident occurring in 2010 when Chris Golightly was disqualified for issues related to a recording contract. Jermaine Jones is however, only the second finalist to ever be ousted from the show, the first being Corey Clark back in Season 2, also for an undisclosed arrest.
American Idol has declined comment, leaving fans to speculate what Jones's elimination might mean for the other contestants. Theories range from a week free from eliminations to Jeremy Rosado reclaiming his place in the finals.
What are your thoughts about Jermaine exiting the show? Should Jeremy Rosado be invited back or should one of the other individuals who sang for a wild card save be granted a spot in the finals?
