Moog synthesizers showed up on the 1977 Beach Boys album "Love You," which was released under the name of the whole band but mostly consists of Wilson's work. On the album, Wilson himself played the synthesizer. (Despite popular belief, a traditional theremin was not used on the band's 1966 song "Good Vibrations." The device used to create the sound is called an Electro-Theremin, or Tannerin, and it was created Paul Tanner and Bob Whitselll specifically to imitate the sound made by a theremin.)
