Robert Downey Jr. joined the $20 million club with his “Iron Man” films, which earned him even more than that when all was said and done. He earned an estimated $75 million from June 2013 to June 2014, making it to number 10 on Forbes list of top 100 celebrity earners.
He has supported 11 charities and foundations, including March of Dimes, Stand Up To Cancer, and Communities In Schools. Most recently, he borrowed his character Tony Stark to gift a little boy with a bionic arm in a video that went viral, showing the softer side of the Iron Man. He is also leveraging his celebrity to help the children of Julia’s House, by offering signed apparel and a chance to attend Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron premiere as his guest for those who donate to the cause.
