Robin Williams starred as a grown-up Peter Pan in Spielberg's 1991 film, in which Hook returns for revenge on his enemy and kidnaps Peter's children. Spielberg said that he closely identified with the idea of the boy who wouldn't grow up. During production, Williams and Dustin Hoffman, who played Hook, endlessly tried to one-up each other in back-and-forth exchanges. "Star Wars" star Carrie Fisher worked on the dialogue for Tinker Bell.
