A team of scientists takes up residence in a New York City firehouse, using their own inventive technology to stop evil ghosts from terrorizing the good citizens of New York. The original "Ghostbusters" in 1984 – and the sequel in 1989 – captured the pop-culture pulse of America, from its catchy theme-song to gag-worthy gross-out effects, like slime oozing through the sewers of New York.
