The former New York City mayor and CEO of financial data and media company, Bloomberg, donated $462 million or 1.2 percent of his worth last year. According to Philanthropy 50, Bloomberg's donations went to arts and culture, educational, environmental, or public health groups. "He also gave to programs designed to help city governments throughout the world locate and test new ideas and to make city governance more efficient and creative."
