Former CEO of hedge fund Centaurus Advisors, John Arnold ranks #227 on the Forbes 400 with a net worth of $2.9 billion. Last year he donated 7.6 percent of his worth, a total of $219 million among several charities: the Laura and John Arnold Foundation, which supports programs to improve the reliability of scientific research, K-12 public education, the criminal justice system, and public policy practices; the Center for Healthcare Transparency; and a grant to Harvard University to establish its Harvard Health Care Markets and Regulations Lab.
