Oregon’s family-leave law applies to all state workers and employees at private firms of 25 or more people. Workers who have worked 25 or more hours per week for 180 days are eligible for up to 12 weeks of leave. “Family” includes domestic partners as well as couples who are legally wed.
Additionally, new moms are eligible for 12 weeks of pregnancy disability, and another 12 weeks to care for a new child. Both public and private-sector workers are entitled to workplace nursing rights for 18 months after a child is born.
