'Gone Girl': A new trailer shows more of the twist-filled story

'Gone Girl' stars Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, a husband who comes under suspicion when his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike) disappears.

A new trailer for the movie adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s bestseller “Gone Girl” has been released.

The film stars Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, who is considered the prime suspect in the disappearance of his wife Amy (Rosamund Pike of “The World’s End”).

The trailer shows the two first meeting, with Nick telling Amy, “I’m the guy to save you from all this awesomeness.” Later, Amy’s diary entries are read in voiceover, with her saying, “The man of my dreams, this man of mine, may truly kill me.”

It also shows Nick under fire as the investigation into Amy’s disappearance proceeds, with his lawyer Tanner Bolt (Tyler Perry) telling him, “Without a body, their only hope is a confession.”

The movie is directed by David Fincher of the 2011 movie “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and will be released on Oct. 3.
