The new trailer for the movie “Gone Girl” provides a peek at the film adaptation of Gillian Flynn’s bestselling novel.

The movie stars “Argo” actor Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne and Rosamund Pike of “Pride and Prejudice” as Nick’s wife, Amy.

The trailer shows Nick speaking at a vigil for Amy.

“As you all know, my wife, Amy Elliott Dunn, disappeared three days ago,” he tells the crowd.

The clip shows the investigation into Amy’s disappearance, including a billboard with Amy’s face and police searching the couple’s home, as well as flashbacks into Nick and Amy’s marriage.

“We can’t go on like this,” Amy tells Nick.

“What, it’s not good enough for you?” he asks her.

“It’s not even close!” she shouts.

The end of the preview concludes with Nick saying, “I did not kill my wife. I am not a murderer.”
