Conservationist William deBuys has written a book as lovely as it is disturbing. In “The Last Unicorn” he chronicles a 2011 expedition across Laos he joined in search of the extremely rare, antelope-like Saora. Part travelogue, part nature documentary, this book also intelligently sounds the alarm over the ongoing need to protect the fragile beauty of the wilderness.
