Well researched, well read and well written, one could do no better for a smooth summer listen. The story is based on actual people, dubbed the Rabbits, who had been political prisoners at Ravensbrück, the only large Nazi concentration camp for women in Germany. It follows several women who are in this group, or touched by it, from before the war until decades after it ends. With the exception of Kana, whose German accent comes and goes, these narrators provide a full cast of accents and capture attitude and tone with surprising accuracy. An intriguing author's note at the end explains the audiobook's background. Grade A
