10 best books of November: the Monitor's picks

Here are the 10 books that the Monitor's critics judged to be at the top of the heap this month.

2. "Fully Alive," by Timothy Shriver

Through his memoir, Special Olympics chairman Timothy Shriver (son of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and nephew of US President John F. Kennedy) offers the inspiring story of how he came to dedicate his life to working with people facing intellectual and physical challenges. Shriver credits his aunt, Rosemary Kennedy, for opening his eyes to the needs of such individuals, and shares moving stories of the remarkable individuals who have taught him how to live “from the inside out.” You can see the Monitor's full review of "Fully Alive" here.
