This biting satire on World War II is centered around the firebombing of Dresden, for which Vonnegut was actually present, making this novel technically semi-autobiographical. The similarity to reality ends there, however, as space aliens and porn stars somehow intermingle in this crazed, yet scathing parody of the waste and injustices of war.
