It turns out being gentle with items may not be as important as adults seem to imagine. "Most adults push the idea of gentle hands on their toddlers for the sake of preserving the precious IKEA items in their home," Toddler wrote. "Herein lies the dilemma. What's more important to you as a parent: owning intact compressed-wood furniture or developing the strength and self-esteem of a child? I hope the answer was simple. If it wasn't, you have a lot to think about and should probably go sit in the dark until you get your priorities straight."
