7. 'The Interestings,' by Meg Wolitzer

"This is really Meg Wolitzer's breakout book," says Nelson of "The Interestings," the latest novel by Wolitzer, who is also the author of "The Uncoupling," among other works. "The Interestings" centers on a group of friends who meet at camp as teenagers then follows them through the following decades.
