"The Round House," the latest novel from award-winning author Louise Erdrich, is what Nelson calls "'To Kill a Mockingbird' set on a reservation." This book, which is "somewhat" of a sequel to Erdrich's 2008 novel "The Plague of Doves," tells the story of a young boy whose mother is raped and the struggles of both of them to come to terms with the event. Nelson, who sees Erdrich as a bit "undersung" in the pantheon of great American writers, says she is currently "driving everyone crazy telling them how much I love this book."
