10 best books of October, according to Amazon's editors

Sara Nelson, editorial director of books and Kindle for Amazon.com, talks about the 10 books chosen by Amazon editors as the best of October, 2012.

5. "Live By Night," by Dennis Lehane

"Live By Night" is the latest thriller by award-winning Boston writer Dennis Lehane and Nelson says it's a great example of Lehane "doing what he does and doing it well." She admits that this story, set during Prohibition, of a cop's son who gets into trouble is "a bit dark." She says, however, that the plot – which "builds and builds and builds and just gets better" – also demonstrates that there is "honor among thieves."
