Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

Cole Sinanian is a journalist currently based in Boston. He has degrees in journalism and music from the University of Oregon, and has written for numerous publications throughout the Pacific Northwest. His work typically involves environmental, housing, and social justice issues.
In his free time, he enjoys reading, cooking, and wandering through the mountains of his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
