What makes the speed of shots in both men’s and women’s water polo fairly amazing is that they are thrown by swimmers who can’t plant their feet – players are not allowed to touch the bottom or side of the pools. Adding to the challenge is the fact it can be very tiring to constantly be swimming or treading water.
