World rankings: Top 10 universities in 2014

Britain’s higher-education consulting firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) released its annual global ranking of universities for 2014. Here are the top 10 schools: 

#9: Princeton University

America’s fourth-oldest university, Princeton, located in Princeton, N.J., has spent nearly three centuries educating a global elite, including 37 Nobel Prize winners and two US presidents. It is also the top university in the United States according to another popular high education ranking, the US News and World Report. Buoyed by the prestigious Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Princeton’s most highly ranked academic subject this year was politics (#4 in the world).
