Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

Vietnam's capital city, Hanoi, will officially celebrate the Gregorian new year for the first time this year. Previously it only celebrated Tet, the holiday that marks the lunar new year, BBC reported. Fox News reports that the fledgling celebration will include a light show and DJs in front of the city’s opera house.
