Cameron Rodriquez, who plays basketball at Southwestern College in Kansas, was randomly selected to try a midcourt shot as part of a halftime promotion at an Oklahoma City Thunder NBA game. He sank it, but then was faced with deciding between accepting the $20,000 prize or losing his athletic eligibility – that is until the NAIA reconsidered and ruled that as long as the $20,000 was considered a scholarship and used toward his college expenses it was OK.
