The only time a player with the franchise won an NBA scoring title came while it was based in Buffalo and Bob McAdoo secured the league’s scoring honors three straight years in the early 1970s. In only his second pro season (1973-1974), the North Carolina graduate became the last player to average 30 points and 15 rebounds for an entire season. McAdoo currently is an assistant coach with the Miami Heat.
