In a week 7 loss to the Redskins, the Bears’ Jay Cutler threw four interceptions. All four were thrown to DeAngelo Hall, including a stunning one-handed grab he returned 92 yards for a touchdown that gave Washington the lead.
In a post-game press conference, Cutler seemed unaffected by his performance: “I’ve played against [Hall] before. There’s no reason to shy away from him.” He added, “If we had to play them tomorrow, I’d go at him every time.”
Hall, in an interview with NFL.com, said of Cutler’s bravado, “I don’t know what’s wrong with this kid,” and went on to say that if he played against Chicago every week, “I’d be in the Hall of Fame.”
