Wayne Gretzky played his final National Hockey League game nearly 12 years ago, but "The Great One" is still revered by players and fans alike.
The hockey icon could probably lace up a pair of skates and pot a goal or two tonight for any number of NHL franchises.
After his playing days, the sport's all-time leading goal scorer coached and was part-owner of the Phoenix Coyotes. He has also been involved in several business ventures, including a restaurant and vineyards. He also became a US citizen and resides with his family in California.
Gretzky played for 20 years and set numerous NHL scoring and playing records. The possibility that those marks will be broken is highly unlikely.
Wayne, thanks for the memories. But, I have to tell you, my favorite all-time player is still Bobby Orr.
