Numerous governors are promoting new limits on abortion – or have already signed legislation. Here’s a rundown:

4. Pennsylvania: State bans abortion coverage in health-care exchange

On June 17, 2013, Gov. Tom Corbett (R) signed legislation keeping abortion services out of insurance plans offered on the health-care exchange that will open later this year under the Affordable Care Act.

The law contains exceptions for cases of rape and incest and to save the life of the woman.

Twenty states now have laws that prohibit insurance coverage of abortion in state exchanges, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
