Fred Couples celebrates as he walks off the 18th green during second round play in the 2012 Masters Golf Tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, April 6.

Twenty years after his win at Augusta, 52-year-old Fred Couples grabbed a share of the second-round lead at the Masters, making seven birdies to get to 5-under par and a tie with Sergio Garcia, Rory McIlroy and Jason Dufner.

They were all one shot ahead of Lee Westwood, who made double bogey on 18 to finish a round of 1-over 73. Westwood, who led virtually all day, lost the lead when he three-putted from about 12 feet on the 18th green.

That gave Couples a share of the lead as he headed to the 18th tee.

A shot back at 4 under was Louis Oosthuizen, who overcame a double bogey on No. 1 to shoot even-par 72.
