Wisconsin was, by far, the coolest state of the convention.
Cheesehead and RNC Chairman Reince Priebus ran the whole shebang. Rep. Paul Ryan waxed rhapsodic about Janesville giving his vice presidential acceptance speech. Gov. Scott Walker only needed to walk up to the podium to shake a somnambulant opening night crowd into raucous cheers – if the RNC hadn't run his teleprompter and allowed Walker to whip up the crowd, there might have been a riot.
Republicans say that Wisconsin, which Obama carried handily in 2008 but has been much closer in prior years, is up for grabs in 2012. If the GOP doesn't manage to nab it this cycle, it won't be for a shortage of high-wattage stars.
