2. Clint Eastwood

This advertisement provided by Chrysler Group LLC, shows actor Clint Eastwood, featured in an ad titled 'It's Halftime In America,' which aired during Super Bowl XVLI on Feb. 5, 2012.

Who could really amp up the crowds and achieve maximum effect from a surprise appearance? How about a Hollywood celebrity?

Guesses that Clint Eastwood might be the person to take the stage just before Senator Rubio only increased with a report from conservative political news site Townhall that the actor and director is en route to Tampa, Fla.

Mr. Eastwood is a vocal conservative who backed John McCain in 2008 and endorsed Mr. Romney earlier this month.

If the iconic “Dirty Harry” star does show up on the GOP stage Thursday night, expect lots of headlines of the “make Mitt Romney’s day” variety.
