Gov. Tom Corbett (R), widely viewed as the nation’s most vulnerable governor, is trailing Democratic businessman Tom Wolf by 11 percent, according to the running average of major polls by RealClearPolitics.com.

Battered by education cuts, his handling of the Penn State sex scandal and a steady drip of scandals in his administration – most recently, a top education adviser resigned after reports that he averaged only one phone call a day – Corbett appears likely to be the first governor in state history to lose a reelection bid.
