'Blended' stars Drew Barrymore (l.) and Adam Sandler (r.).

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore star in “Blended,” their third pairing, and, while the chemistry may be good, the movie isn’t. They play single parents, Jim and Lauren, who go on a disastrous blind date and then – wouldn’t you know it? – get thrown into a family vacation situation where they can’t avoid each other and, well, you can figure it out.

That vacation, a blended family bash at a posh South African hotel (don’t ask), gives everybody in the movie, including widowed Jim’s three daughters and divorced Lauren’s two boys, the opportunity to recognize that love takes time. Or in this case, about two sluggish hours. Grade: C+ (Rated PG-13 for crude and sexual content, and language.)
