The 1937 movie directed by David Hand tells the tale of Snow White, a princess who is despised by her stepmother because of her beauty. Her stepmother attempts to have her killed and Snow White flees into the forest, where she meets a group of of dwarfs who take her in.
"Snow White" was the first full-length animated film ever released and was the pet project of Walt Disney, though at the time many believed it would not be a success, and he was widely discouraged from making it. However, upon its release, it became a massive box office and critical success.
According to Moviefone, the "Snow White" soundtrack is believed to be the first-ever soundtrack album to have been sold to the public.
