Jude Law in '360': movie review
“360” is a classic example of how you can’t always judge a movie by its credits. This dreary, interminable global rondelay of interlocking personal dramas was directed by Fernando Meirelles (“City of God”) and written by Peter Morgan (“The Queen,” “Frost/Nixon”). It stars Jude Law, Rachel Weisz, Anthony Hopkins, and Ben Foster and features a talented cast of international notables, including Maria Flor and Lucia Siposova.
What a letdown.
Morgan is a wonderful writer when he’s working from the headlines, but his “personal” movies, like “Hereafter” and this one, release a bleary, pseudo-profound aspect of his talent that’s best left in the dark. “360” takes us all over the world, from London to Rio, and yet never achieves liftoff. Grade: C- (Rated R for sexuality, nudity and language.)
