Robin Thicke scheduled to perform at Illinois State Fair

State Fair Manager Amy Bliefnick says she believes fairgoers will be excited to welcome Thicke and will 'thoroughly enjoy his highly-energetic show.'

The Illinois State Fair is adding singer and songwriter Robin Thicke to its 2014 lineup.

State Fair officials say the artist is scheduled to perform at the Grandstand on Aug. 17.

State Fair Manager Amy Bliefnick says she believes fairgoers will be excited to welcome Thicke and will "thoroughly enjoy his highly-energetic show."

Thicke had a breakthrough last year with the international hit "Blurred Lines," which was nominated for several Grammy Awards.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale June 13. They can be purchased through Ticketmaster or from the state fair box office.
